Life After Breast Cancer
Breast Reconstruction and Revision
We understand that a breast cancer diagnosis affects far more than your physical health. Our goal is to restore your natural appearance, confidence, and sense of wholeness with personalized reconstruction options performed in close coordination with your breast surgeon and oncologist.
-
After lumpectomy – Oncoplastic reconstruction combines cancer removal with immediate breast reshaping, often using your own tissue to achieve better cosmetic results and symmetry while preserving as much natural breast tissue as possible.
-
After mastectomy – Options include:
-
Implant-based reconstruction (one- or two-stage with tissue expanders)
-
Autologous (own-tissue) reconstruction using DIEP, TRAM, or other flaps for the most natural look and feel
-
Hybrid techniques combining implants and your own tissue
-
Immediate (same surgery as mastectomy) or delayed reconstruction, depending on your treatment plan and preferences
-
We work closely with you and your cancer care team to choose the safest, most aesthetically pleasing approach tailored to your body and oncology needs. Federal law (WHCRA) requires most insurance plans to cover breast reconstruction after mastectomy, and our team will manage the entire approval process for you.
Life After Weight Loss
Achieving your goal weight is a remarkable achievement, but it often leaves behind excess skin and tissue that can affect comfort, mobility, and self-confidence. We specialize in body contouring procedures to remove excess skin and help you fully enjoy the results of your hard work. Common options include:
-
Arm lift (brachioplasty) – tightens and reshapes the upper arms
-
Thigh lift – contours the inner or outer thighs for a smoother appearance
-
Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) – removes excess abdominal skin and tightens the underlying muscles
-
Breast lift (mastopexy) ± augmentation – restores a more youthful, uplifted breast contour
In cases where excess skin causes documented medical problems (recurrent rashes, infections, or functional impairment), certain procedures—such as panniculectomy or breast reduction—may be partially or fully covered by insurance. Our team will work directly with your insurance provider to maximize any available benefits.
Facial Rejuvenation
Over time, gravity, sun exposure, and natural aging can lead to sagging skin, deep folds, and tired-looking eyes. Our facial rejuvenation procedures are designed to turn back the clock while preserving your unique features and expressions.
-
Face and neck lift (rhytidectomy) – tightens underlying tissues, removes excess skin, and smoothes deep creases for a firmer, more youthful jawline and neck contour
-
Upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) – removes excess skin and fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids, eliminating hooding, bags, and a perpetually fatigued look
-
Rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) – refines the shape, size, or proportion of the nose for improved harmony with other facial features, whether for cosmetic enhancement or to correct breathing issues
Each procedure is carefully customized to your anatomy and goals, delivering natural-looking results that help you look as vibrant as you feel. We use the latest minimally invasive and short-scar techniques whenever possible to minimize downtime and visible signs of surgery.
In Office Procedures
Many procedures can be comfortably and safely performed right in our surgery suite under local anesthesia, saving you the time, expense, and recovery associated with a hospital or outpatient surgery center visit.
Common in-office procedures include:
-
Skin cancer excision and reconstruction – precise removal of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma with immediate margin control when indicated, followed by aesthetic closure or local flap reconstruction for the best cosmetic and functional outcome
-
Earlobe repair – restores torn, stretched, or gauged earlobes with virtually invisible results; perfect for re-piercing afterward
-
Skin lesion excision – removal of bothersome or suspicious moles, cysts, lipomas, and other benign growths.
These procedures typically take less than an hour, require no general anesthesia, and allow you to return home immediately afterward with minimal downtime. Our plastic surgeons and dedicated staff ensure the same high standard of care you expect from major surgery—in a convenient, private, and cost-effective setting.
